The sky, read slowly.
ALMUTEM is the planet that, in a chart, prevails over all the others — the one that governs it. We took its name because it is also what this place wants to be: somewhere the sky of a birth is given the care it deserves.

Why it exists.
There is a lot of pop astrology — a sign, a sentence, a promised fate. ALMUTEM began as the opposite of that. It is the work of one person, made without hurry, around a simple conviction: classical astrology is a serious language, and it deserves to be treated with rigour and with respect for its sources. There are no sun-sign horoscopes here, and no promises about the future. There is a chart, and a patient reading of what it describes.
How it is made.
Everything here begins in the calculation. Charts are cast by a purpose-built engine, from reference astronomical ephemerides — the same figure of the sky the ancients read, now with the precision of today.
The reading comes after, and it comes from the sources: dignities, aspects, houses and the rhythms of time, in the manner of traditional, Hellenistic and Perso-Arabic astrology. Nothing is generated at random. A chart describes a nature; it does not foretell a fate.
