1. About these Terms

These Terms govern the use of the site al-mutem.com (the “Site”) and the purchase of the digital products made available on it. The Site is operated under the designation ALMUTEM, a traditional-astrology project bringing together astrological software, original publications (digital books and courses, chart reports) and educational content.

2. Acceptance

By using this Site or purchasing any product, the user declares having read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy.

3. What the Site offers

The Site provides, free of charge, a natal chart calculator, a sky almanac, and editorial essays (the Journal). It also offers, for a fee, digital products — digital books and courses and automatically generated chart reports — of an educational, authored nature. These products are study and reference materials; they are not fortune-telling, psychic, or personalized advisory services.

4. Purchase and payment

Purchases of digital products are processed and sold through a Merchant of Record, which acts as the legal seller of the transaction and handles payment processing, invoicing, and the settlement of applicable taxes (including VAT in the buyer's jurisdiction). The identity of the Merchant of Record, the final price, and applicable taxes are clearly presented at checkout before the order is confirmed. Listed prices may exclude taxes, which are calculated at checkout according to the buyer's country.

5. Delivery and access to the product

Products are exclusively digital. Access or the download link is provided electronically (typically by email and/or through an access link) immediately after payment is confirmed. No physical goods are shipped. It is the user's responsibility to provide a valid email address and to have the technical means to open files in common formats (for example, PDF).

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

The refund conditions and the right of withdrawal applicable to digital products are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. In short: by accessing or downloading the digital content with your express consent, you acknowledge the loss of the 14-day right of withdrawal, without prejudice to your statutory rights in the event of defective or non-conforming content.

7. Intellectual property and licence of use

All Site and product content (texts, images, logos, chart artwork, astrological calculation software, books, courses, and reports) is owned by the operator or licensed, and is protected under the Portuguese Code of Copyright and Related Rights. Purchasing a digital product grants the user a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence for their own use. Reproduction, sharing, resale, distribution, or commercial use of the products without prior written consent is prohibited.

8. Nature of content and limitation of liability

The Site and the products provide information and materials of a cultural, symbolic, and educational nature. Astrological content is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice and must not be used to make decisions in those areas.

The natal chart calculator and the automated reports are provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy for professional use. Any decisions made on the basis of their results are the sole responsibility of the user.

9. Newsletter

Newsletter subscription is voluntary and free. The user may unsubscribe at any time via the removal link included in each email. Associated data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to the Site and to these Terms

The operator reserves the right to change at any time the content, functionality, products, or availability of the Site, as well as these Terms. The version in force is always the one published on this page. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders already completed.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body or to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The competent court is that of the consumer-user's domicile, without prejudice to legally available alternatives.
