Saturn is in Pisces — a sign of mutable water ruled by Jupiter — with neither dignity nor debility: peregrine, a guest of the greater benefic in mild waters that soften his dryness. The cold and the weight of the old man dissolve here into compassionate water, and the meeting eases his hardness but takes from him his firm outline. It inclines to a melancholy and sensitive seriousness, given to withdrawal, to silent compassion, and to duty toward those who suffer; there is a gravity turned inward, toward the silent faith and the work done far from sight. It gives a patient endurance in adversity and a wisdom born of renunciation.
