Ascendant Opposition Jupiter
Ascendant represents your body, your make-up and how you present yourself and begin things; Jupiter, the part of you that trusts, grows and seeks meaning.
Jupiter opposing the Ascendant brings fortune through the other: generous, prosperous, or well-placed partners, and profit drawn from relations. The risk is to trust others too much, or to expect from them what one ought to win for oneself.
In the opposition Jupiter sits beside the Descendant, in the Seventh House, and the greater benefic blesses alliances: the partner or associate tends to be prosperous, generous or of good social standing. Tradition considers this a favourable position for marriage and for settling conflicts by agreement. Adversaries, too, tend to be reasonable. The care is for the native not to hand too much over to the other. A dignified Jupiter gives honourable alliances; a debilitated one, promises the partner does not always keep.
