ALMUTEMMidheaven Opposition Sun
Midheaven represents your vocation, your place in the world and your reputation; Sun, who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy.
The Sun opposing the Midheaven plays identity between the public and the home: the brilliance of the career pulls against the roots and the intimate, and the native seeks in the public destiny a light they perhaps ought to seek within. It asks one to reconcile the stage and the harbour.
The opposition means the Sun is at the Imum Coeli, in the Fourth House, the lowest point of the chart and that of roots, home, the father and the end of things. The vital force is turned inward and towards family. Tradition links this position to a glory that arrives late, to inheritances and to landed property. The challenge is for the person not to take public success as the only measure of themselves. Often the greatest achievement of this configuration is to build a home that lasts.
