ALMUTEMMercury Square Midheaven
Mercury represents the way you think, speak and learn; Midheaven, your vocation, your place in the world and your reputation.
Mercury square the Midheaven risks the reputation through speech: deceits, tangled contracts, or imprudences of tongue, and a career unstable at the mercy of circumstance. Well governed, it is a mind that makes its way through wit.
The square places Mercury near the Ascendant or the Descendant. Near the Ascendant, the person has an opinion on everything and says what they think, which clashes with hierarchies; near the Descendant, negotiations with partners and clients are the sensitive point. Papers, deadlines and clauses call for double attention. With Mercury well supported by sign and by aspect, this same tension produces good negotiators and incisive writers, who make contradiction their method.
