How the Natal Chart works
A free tool that computes the traditional astrological chart for a date, time and place. It does not store your data — the chart is computed on the spot.
Precision
Positions are computed with high-precision ephemerides (VSOP87 / ELP). The Ascendant and Midheaven match professional reference ephemerides (Swiss Ephemeris) to the arcsecond.
Traditional choices
- Houses — Placidus by default; also Whole Sign and Regiomontanus.
- Aspects — the five Ptolemaic aspects, with traditional per-planet orbs (Lilly).
- Dignities — domicile, exaltation, triplicity (Dorothean), Egyptian terms, Chaldean faces.
- Almuten Figuris — Ibn Ezra's method (five hylegiacal points).
- Planets — the seven classical ones for judgement; the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) have no coherent system of dignities and debilities, so they are shown on the chart but do not enter dignities or aspects.
