The Planetary Hours
Each day and each traditional hour is ruled by one of the seven classical planets. Knowing the planetary hour helps choose the best moment of the day for an action.
The days
Each weekday has its ruler: Sunday (Sun), Monday (Moon), Tuesday (Mars), Wednesday (Mercury), Thursday (Jupiter), Friday (Venus), Saturday (Saturn).
The hours
From sunrise to sunset there are twelve unequal hours; another twelve for the night. The first hour of the day belongs to the day's ruler, and the rest follow the Chaldean order: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon.
What they are for
Choosing the hour akin to the action: Venus for love and beauty, Mercury for business and writing, Jupiter for finances, and so on.
