The two luminaries in friction: the conscious will and the instinctive feeling pull in contrary directions, and the native may feel split in two — one side they recognise as ‘them’ (the Sun) and another that acts by habits and impulses they scarcely see (the Moon), visible to others more than to themselves. Hence irritability, too much emotion, and impulsive actions, and friction with figures of authority and within the family, where stored tensions surface.
