Venus in Taurus
Venus represents what you love, what gives you pleasure and the things you value. In Taurus, it expresses itself with calm, steadiness and a love of what is solid.
Venus rules Taurus — fixed earth — and reposes here in its own domicile, in full strength. It is its dwelling of earth, where the moist and fecundating star settles upon firm soil and bears fruit without haste. It inclines to a constant and sensual love, faithful to touch, to taste, to the enjoyment of tangible things; the desire of union seeks lasting possession, not adventure. It gives attachment to material beauty — ornaments, gardens, a laden table, palpable riches — and pleasure in the slow and sure senses. The concord here is patient: it harmonises by permanence, sweetens by fidelity, builds affections that take root and endure. It tends to a full and serene beauty, of solid taste. The danger is that of its own dominion in excess: the sweetness that becomes lassitude, the attachment that turns to avarice or stubbornness, the pleasure that grows comfortable and will not let go. But there is foundation, and what it loves, it loves with root.
