ALMUTEMMars Opposition Midheaven
Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act; Midheaven, your vocation, your place in the world and your reputation.
Mars opposing the Midheaven sets ambition against the home: conflict between career and private life, friction coming from home or from rivals, and a force spent between the public and the intimate. It asks one to choose where to do battle.
In the opposition Mars is at the Imum Coeli, in the Fourth House, and energy and conflict gather in the home, the family or matters of property. Tradition associates this position with domestic quarrels, forced moves and building works and reconstructions. It also gives an enormous capacity to defend one’s own. The career may take second place because the home demands a fight. The way through is to turn the private space into a place built with effort, rather than a battlefield.
