ALMUTEMMercury Conjunction Midheaven
Mercury represents the way you think, speak and learn; Midheaven, your vocation, your place in the world and your reputation.
Mercury upon the Midheaven gives the calling the stamp of wit and of speech: careers of intelligence and of dealing — writing, commerce, science, teaching, law, mediation —, and a reputation for skill and eloquence. One rises through talent and versatility; the reverse is a fame stained by deceits or imprudent words.
With Mercury at the highest point of the chart, the career rests on words, numbers or skilled hands. Being a neutral and changeable planet, it may bring several professions over a lifetime, or one with many fronts. Tradition associates it with scribes, accountants, teachers, merchants and messengers, and today one would add computing and communication. In Gemini or Virgo the reputation for competence is solid; in Sagittarius or Pisces creativity stands out, but rigour needs watching.
