Sun in House 12
Sun represents who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy. House 12 is the house of what stays hidden: retreat, what goes on behind the scenes, secret fears and what holds you back within. It's a difficult place, but also one of silence and of the inner life.
In the twelfth house — of hidden enemies, of confinement, of grave illness, of institutions and of hidden sorrows — the Sun falls into the worst of dwellings, cadent and averse, which does not behold the ascendant and most conceals its light. A place of shadow and constraint, the joy of Saturn, where dwells that which works against the person without showing itself. The kingly luminary determined to this matter turns its heat toward the hidden and the adverse: it inclines to deal with hidden enemies, with confinements and long sicknesses, with what passes far from sight. It gives at times authority within hospitals, convents and places of retreat. But it is a narrow prison for the star of day, whose brilliance here is more nearly drowned — and how far its light overcomes this shadow follows the condition it brings from the sign.
