Mars in House 1
Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act. House 1 is the house of your own life: the body, your general health, your temperament and the way you present yourself and set things in motion. It's the starting point for everything in the chart — where "you" stand.
In the first house — of life, of the body, and of the native himself — Mars finds an angle, and upon the angle he acts in full force, with all the accidental dignity the position confers. Determined to the body and the temperament, he stamps upon one's very being his hot, dry nature: he gives a robust complexion, lively blood, and often a mark of iron or fire on the face or the limbs.
