Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.
In the second house — of movable goods, of money, and of what is won by one's own hands — Mars settles in a succedent house, where his force acts with half-measure vigour, below the full power of an angle. This is an averse house, which does not behold the degree that ascends, and Mars, a restless guest, brings his heat into the domain of having. Determined to goods, he inclines to gain wrested by effort and risk — what is won by struggle, by a trade of strength, by weapon or tool. It tends to impulsive spending, to fortune swiftly made and unmade, to dispute over money and over cattle. It gives a hand for acquiring by boldness, but little for keeping.
