In the fifth house — of children, of pleasures, of play, and of all that is created — Mars settles in a succedent house, where his force acts with half-measure vigour, below the full surge of an angle. The house of Venus's joy, it is the soil of delight and fertility, and the heat of Mars enters here into revelry and risk. It inclines to a burning passion, to pleasure taken with hunger, to the game staked with breast laid bare. It tends to the amorous adventure made of conquest, to the child of a fierce temper, to a taste for risk for the pleasure of the risk.
