Saturn represents your responsible side, your limits and what you build through effort. House 9 is the house of wide horizons: long journeys, higher learning, faith and philosophy. It's the search for meaning and for a truth greater than the everyday.
In the ninth house — of long journeys and pilgrimage, of religion and faith, of wisdom and philosophy — Saturn expresses himself weakened, being cadent, but on an elevated ground of good nature. Determined to this domain, he gives a serious and considered faith, a religiosity of discipline and of duty more than of fervour, and a spirit turned to the deep and patient study of high things. It inclines to long journeys made by necessity or by duty, drawn-out and at times arduous, and to a taste for the knowledge that is won by main strength. It gives a grave and persevering thinker, able to raise with method a doctrine or a knowledge that endures. Saturn here carries gravity to its highest: the search for meaning becomes the work of a life, and wisdom, when it comes, comes ripened by time and by trial.
