In the eleventh house — of friends, of supports, of hope and of benefits — Mercury is in a succedent house of middling strength and good nature, where Jupiter has its joy and where aids come thronging. Determined to this house, it spreads the wit through alliances: the friendships made in conversation, the networks of profit, the counsel exchanged among companions. It inclines to a mind given to comradeship, skilled in winning patrons by the word, in gathering people around an aim. It gives a talent for associations and for dealing with the well-placed, a knack for making of relationships the steps of hope. It tends to dream up projects and to seek those who will support them. As Mercury, without colour of its own, is tinged by the companion it has, and we have not yet said in what state it is found here, it remains to know whether such friendships are faithful or change with the occasion.
