Sun in House 3
Sun represents who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy. House 3 is the house of the everyday and the close at hand: brothers and sisters, neighbours, short journeys and practical learning. It's the stuff of daily life — the conversations and the first lessons in things.
In the third house — of brothers, of neighbours, of short journeys and of the day’s errands — the Sun enters a cadent house, of lesser strength, which falls from the angle and loses part of the vigour with which it would act elsewhere. It is a house held good, the joy of the Moon, of small traffic and of what is done nearby. The kingly luminary determined to these matters casts its light over close kindred and the well-worn ways: it inclines to a role of distinction among brothers and neighbours, to be among them as the greater or the one who leads, to move often in comings and goings. It gives dignity to the common things of the neighbourhood and the short road, and some brilliance to the speaking and writing of daily life. Set outside the angles, the star acts here more contained — and the manner of that acting follows its condition in the sign.
