Moon in House 3
Moon represents your emotions, your instincts and what makes you feel safe. House 3 is the house of the everyday and the close at hand: brothers and sisters, neighbours, short journeys and practical learning. It's the stuff of daily life — the conversations and the first lessons in things.
In the third house — of brothers, of neighbours and of short journeys — the Moon is cadent, and would therefore have but a quarter of its strength; yet it is in this house that it has its joy, and the joy of a star is worth a dignity, restoring to it contentment and good acting. There is no place where the luminary of journeys and changes feels more at ease, for all here is close movement: errands, comings and goings, the neighbourhood and the kindred. It inclines to a life of many brief roads, to strong ties with brothers and with those nearby, and to a curious spirit, a wanderer of daily life. It gives ease in neighbourly dealing, a taste for news and perhaps matters of common faith or of common learning. The mother and the brothers cross paths in a notable way. Set in its joy, the Moon acts here with grace, even being a cadent house.
