Moon in House 2
Moon represents your emotions, your instincts and what makes you feel safe. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.
In the second house — of movable goods, of money and of all that is gained and kept — the Moon is succedent, and so holds half of its strength. But this is a house averse to the ascendant, which it does not behold, and therefore the luminary works here at some disadvantage, without the frank regard it would have in other places. Determined to wealth, the Moon gives a movable and variable fortune, that rises and falls like the tide — gains that come in easily and go out as quickly, according to the phases of feeling. It inclines to draw sustenance from dealing with the common people, from liquids, from what is sold and bought from hand to hand, and from silver, which is its metal. The profit comes through many small channels, not from a single firm source. There is instinct for gain and attachment to what is possessed, but little constancy in retaining it.
