In the second house — of movable goods, gain, and what one accumulates —, Jupiter expresses itself at half strength (succedent), but brings to this domain its nature of abundance and fortune. It inclines toward a comfortable life, easy gains, and a broad and generous relation to money, turned more to enjoying and sharing than to hoarding. It favours profits coming from law, religion, teaching, posts of trust, or generous patrons. Where the sign sustains it, it promises lasting prosperity and honoured plenty; where it afflicts it, it scatters what comes in through squandering, imprudent surety, or dealings in which generosity turns to loss.
