Degree 1 · Lesson 4 of 9
The twelve houses
The signs told us how a planet acts. The houses tell us where — in which part of an actual life the action lands.
This is the layer that needs your birth time, and it is why the time matters so much. The signs a planet occupies barely change across a whole day. The houses change completely: the sky turns a full circle in twenty-four hours, so the Ascendant moves about one degree every four minutes. Two people born the same morning four hours apart share almost every planet’s sign and share almost none of their houses.
