Mars in House 6

Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act. House 6 is the house of the small daily work and the health of the body: your tasks, your routines, those who work for you and the little ailments. It asks for care — it's where the body shows its signs and where you serve, day by day.

The sixth house — of small labour, routines, subordinates, illness, and small animals — is the joy of Mars: though cadent and averse, it is the lesser malefic’s own ground, and tradition holds that joy strengthens above all in the cadent houses — this is its own. Here it acts with more ease and firmness, giving the native breath to overcome fatigue, illness, and adversity. It inclines toward an immense capacity for hard labour and toward trades of fire and iron — soldier, surgeon, smith, mechanic, butcher —, and toward combative relations with those who serve or are served; illnesses tend to be acute, feverish, and inflammatory, with cuts, wounds, or surgery. Strong in its sign, it makes a tireless worker, fearless before harm, who draws temper from suffering itself; impeded, it worsens fevers, accidents in labour, and conflicts with subordinates.
