Mars in House 6
Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act. House 6 is the house of the small daily work and the health of the body: your tasks, your routines, those who work for you and the little ailments. It asks for care — it's where the body shows its signs and where you serve, day by day.
In the sixth house — of small labour, of subordinates, of illnesses, and of small animals — Mars finds his joy, and though the house be cadent and held evil, here the malefic is in his own quarters, content where others fear to be. An averse house, which does not behold the ascendant, it is nonetheless the place where Mars takes his ease and acts at will. Determined to labour and servitude, he inclines to hard work of the arm, to command over those who serve, to a trade of strength and daily risk. It tends to the hot and sudden illness — fever, inflammation, wound, the malady that calls for iron and fire to be cured. It gives endurance under effort, vigour in the toil, an energy not spared in the task. It is here that Mars takes his pleasure: in the small miseries, in the sicknesses, and in the deceptions. What profit he draws from this joy is told by the sign in which he is lodged.
