Venus in House 7
Venus represents what you love, what gives you pleasure and the things you value. House 7 is the house of the other: marriage, partnerships and agreements — and your openly declared rivals too. It's the mirror in which you meet whoever stands before you.
In the seventh house — of marriage, of partnerships, of the other and of declared enemies — Venus rises in an angle, in full accidental strength, in the place that best befits its nature of union. It turns toward the spouse and the partner, toward pacts and contracts with one’s neighbour. It inclines strongly to matrimony and to alliance, and disposes the person to seek a mate and to prosper in company; it promises amiable dealing, a spouse of good gifts, and concord in partnerships. The star of sweetness, set in the house of the other, makes of the bond with one’s neighbour the seat of its greatest good, and sweetens agreements and softens even open enmities. But it is also an ambiguous house, of the adversary and of strife. Whether the unions will bring peace and profit, or discord and ill-fortuned loves, the state in which the star is found in this angle declares.
