Jupiter in House 3
Jupiter represents the part of you that trusts, grows and seeks meaning. House 3 is the house of the everyday and the close at hand: brothers and sisters, neighbours, short journeys and practical learning. It's the stuff of daily life — the conversations and the first lessons in things.
In the third house — of brothers, of neighbours, and of short journeys — Jupiter is determined to close kinship and to the dealings of every day. A cadent house, of lesser force, fallen from the angle; but a house counted among the good ones, and the joy of the Moon. It inclines to prosperous and welcome brothers, to good concord with those of one's blood and of the neighbourhood, to benefits that come from that quarter. It gives a faith received early and well settled, a simple devotion, a taste for the comings and goings that draw near and for the short roads that open dealings. It signifies also the inherited religion, the piety of custom, the wisdom of nearby things. Jupiter here makes the kinsman an ally and the neighbour a friend, and blesses the small journeys. But the house is cadent, and his force arrives smothered: how much of this fraternal fortune is fulfilled, and with what firmness, depends on the state of the star.
