Mercury in House 6
Mercury represents the way you think, speak and learn. House 6 is the house of the small daily work and the health of the body: your tasks, your routines, those who work for you and the little ailments. It asks for care — it's where the body shows its signs and where you serve, day by day.
In the sixth house — of small labour, of subordinates, of illnesses and of small animals — Mercury enters a cadent and averse house, of little light and ill nature, where Mars has its joy and where fatigues pile up. Determined to this house, it applies the wit to daily service and to the detail of the craft: the minute task, the care of those who serve, the art of remedying ailments. It inclines to a hardworking mind, attentive to detail, given to the reckoning of obligations and to the governing of those below. It gives a knack for the crafts of hands and method, for medicine and the remedy, for the governing of routine. It tends to worry too much over trifles and to suffer in spirit when the body tires, for here mind and illness touch. As we have not yet said in what state it is found here, it remains to know whether the toil strengthens it or consumes it.
