Saturn in House 8

Saturn represents your responsible side, your limits and what you build through effort. House 8 is the house of what you share and what comes from outside: inheritances, other people's resources, debts, and the major upheavals and losses. It's a deep and demanding place, of fears and of transformation.

In the eighth house — of death, of fear, and of the goods that come from others — Saturn expresses himself at half force, being succedent, and in an averse and shadowy house that has, however, affinity with his nature: he is the old lord of endings, of inheritances, and of what is received from the dead. Determined to this domain, he inclines to a grave and sober sense of death and of the limit, to fears carried in silence, and to drawn-out matters of inheritances, debts, and shared goods. He favours the slow gains by way of the spouse or of legacies, and gives endurance and cold blood before what others fear to face. Saturn here makes of dealings with the end and with the hidden a ground of patience: what comes from here arrives slowly and at cost, and asks of the native the temper of one who knows how to wait and to endure.
