Sun represents who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy. House 4 is the house of your roots: home, family, what you inherit and your parents (in the old tradition, the father above all). It's your innermost foundation, and also where everything ends — the harbour you come back to.
In the fourth house — of home, parents, roots, immovable goods, and the end of life —, the Sun meets an angle, where it acts in full, and is by nature the significator of the father, above all in a diurnal chart. It inclines toward a worthy father, of authority or good standing, a strong pride in origin and lineage, and a home that is a centre and a reference. It promises honoured roots and an end of life with dignity and recognition, crowning existence with light. Dignified in its sign, it gives an eminent father, an estate of prestige, and a respected old age; afflicted, it may bring a domineering or absent father, conflict over inheritance or name, or a decline that dims the brilliance of the final years.
