Venus in House 2
Venus represents what you love, what gives you pleasure and the things you value. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.
In the second house — of movable goods, gain, and what one accumulates —, Venus expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and brings to fortune its pleasing tone. It inclines toward gains by gentle means — by art, beauty, the social touch, the favour of women, or objects of taste and luxury — and toward a pleasurable relation to money, gladly spent on adornment, comfort, and pleasure; wealth tends to come without great effort and to serve the enjoyment of life. Dignified in its sign, it gives pleasant plenty and profit by the gift of pleasing; afflicted, it brings spendthrift waste on luxuries and pleasures, or losses tied to women, idleness, or easy living.
