Venus in House 6

Venus represents what you love, what gives you pleasure and the things you value. House 6 is the house of the small daily work and the health of the body: your tasks, your routines, those who work for you and the little ailments. It asks for care — it's where the body shows its signs and where you serve, day by day.

In the sixth house — of small labour, of subordinates, of illnesses and of small animals — Venus is in a cadent house, averse to the angle and of ill nature, with its accidental strength weakened. It turns toward daily toil, toward those who serve and toward the ailments of the body. It inclines to deal gently with subordinates and to find pleasure in humble office, and gives a taste for service done with neatness and harmony; it may bring affection between masters and servants, or pleasure in the care of small animals. But the star of pleasure, set in a house of illness and of servitude, finds itself diverted from its joy and risks illnesses born of enjoyment, or affections lowered to the condition of service. Sweetness here works in a narrow place, far from the festivity proper to it. Whether it yields mild usefulness or rather sorrow and disorder of the body, the state of the star in this averse place tells.
