Jupiter in Libra

In Libra — cardinal air, sign of Venus — Jupiter is a guest in the house of balance, and few places suit him so well without being his own. Peregrine, he lacks the title, but the friendly ruler and the very pointer of the scales invite his tempered justice. It inclines to equity, to the judgement that weighs both parties, to the concord that reconciles litigants. It gives a courteous generosity, an agreeable manner, a fine sense of what is owed to each. Religion here is measured and harmonious, faith reasonable; wisdom becomes diplomacy and good counsel. Venus sweetens his justice and the cardinal air gives him initiative to promote agreements. It is a place where the judge and the benefactor meet. But the scales tend to sway: the desire to please all may delay the sentence, and largesse, wishing to content both pans, is slow to decide for either.
