Mars in House 2
Mars represents your energy, your desire and the courage to act. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.
In the second house — of movable goods, gain, and what one accumulates —, Mars expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and brings to money its ardour and its haste. It inclines toward gains wrested by effort, by daring, or by arms and the trades of fire and iron, but also toward impulsive spending and difficulty in keeping what comes in. It favours bold enterprise and the courage to risk, though under threat of sudden losses, disputes over money, theft, or squandering. Dignified in its sign, it gives energy to conquer one’s own fortune and plenty of initiative; impeded, it gives and takes with the same haste — losses by rashness, costly quarrels, or a relation to goods made of gains and losses equally swift.
