Saturn represents your responsible side, your limits and what you build through effort. House 5 is the house of pleasure and creation: children, love affairs, games, art and everything you do for the sheer joy of it. It's where life is celebrated and something new is brought into being.
In the fifth house — of children, of pleasures, of games, and of all that is created for delight — Saturn, cold and barren by nature, expresses himself at half force, being succedent, and reins in the spontaneous joy of this domain. Determined to this house, he inclines to few children, to late children, or to a grave and responsible bond with them, often with delay or grief before having them; and to a nature contained in pleasure and in affection, little given to festivity. He favours, in exchange, the serious and lasting creative work — what is made with method and is meant to stay — and a mature and responsible relation with what one begets. Saturn here trades the lightness of play for the weight of the work: the enjoyment is sparing, but what comes from his hands tends to outlast what is born of mere revelry.
