Sun in House 2

Sun represents who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.

In the second house — of movable goods, of gain and of what one possesses and handles — the Sun settles in a succedent house, of middling strength, which follows the angle without taking its place. It is, among the houses, an averse one, which does not behold the ascending degree and therefore withdraws from the luminary part of its clarity, even though the house in itself is held good. The star of gold determined to possessions turns its light toward fortune and sustenance: it inclines to seek in goods a form of dignity, to bind its own brilliance to what is amassed and spent with largeness. It gives a disposition to earn, to have of one’s own, to make of wealth an ornament of the name. Gold is the metal of the Sun, and here the kingly luminary eyes it closely. As it acts according to its condition in the sign, that is what determines the fruit of this place.
