Sun represents who you truly are deep down, your willpower and what gives you energy. House 2 is the house of your possessions and your livelihood: the money you earn, the things you own and your relationship with resources. It speaks of your ability to provide and to feel secure.
In the second house — of movable goods, gain, and what one accumulates —, the Sun expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and ties the native’s fortune to their dignity and their name. It inclines toward gains coming from office, authority, the favour of the great, or a position of standing, and toward a relation to money marked by pride and the will to keep up status. Wealth tends to follow reputation: it grows with honour and withers when honour is eclipsed. Dignified in its sign, it gives honoured plenty and profit by one’s own merit and light; afflicted, it brings excessive spending to keep up appearances, losses tied to pride, or a fortune that depends too much on the favour of those who rule.
