Venus represents what you love, what gives you pleasure and the things you value. House 8 is the house of what you share and what comes from outside: inheritances, other people's resources, debts, and the major upheavals and losses. It's a deep and demanding place, of fears and of transformation.
In the eighth house — of death, of fear, and of the goods that come from others —, Venus expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and in an averse and ill-omened house, yet its presence softens what it touches here. It inclines toward a serene death without great suffering, and toward a life less tormented by the fear of the end; it is favourable to others’ goods — bringing profit by dowry, inheritance, or resources coming from the spouse and partnerships, often tied to women. Well disposed, it gives pleasant gains through others’ goods and a tranquil close; afflicted, it brings losses through loves or pleasures, disputed dowries and inheritances, and griefs tied to passions and the intimate sphere.
