Jupiter in House 8

Jupiter represents the part of you that trusts, grows and seeks meaning. House 8 is the house of what you share and what comes from outside: inheritances, other people's resources, debts, and the major upheavals and losses. It's a deep and demanding place, of fears and of transformation.

In the eighth house — of death, of fear, and of the goods that come from others —, Jupiter expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and in an averse and ill-omened house, yet its presence softens all it touches here. It inclines toward a serene, natural death without great suffering, and toward a life less tormented by the fear of the end. Above all, it is excellent for others’ goods: it favours inheritances, dowries, and profits coming from the spouse or from partnerships, often ample and timely. Well disposed, it promises longevity, gains by inheritance, and a tranquil close; afflicted, it delays or entangles those inheritances in litigation, and makes the goods of others be received only to slip away.
