Saturn in House 4
Saturn represents your responsible side, your limits and what you build through effort. House 4 is the house of your roots: home, family, what you inherit and your parents (in the old tradition, the father above all). It's your innermost foundation, and also where everything ends — the harbour you come back to.
In the fourth house — of home, of parents, of roots, of landed goods, and of the end of life — Saturn finds an angle, where he acts in full, and a ground of natural affinity: he is lord of the lands, of the ancestors, and of old age, and few places suit him so deeply. Determined to this domain, he inclines to an austere home or one marked by privation, to a father severe, aged, or absent, and to a grave sense of origin and of duty toward the family. He favours the possession of lands and real estate, the slow gains by property, and a dignified old age, settled on what was built up over the years. The fourth being the seal of the end of life, it is here that Saturn best fulfils his promise to endure: he gives firm roots, patrimony, and an end of life serene and respected, won by the weight of a whole life of effort.
