Moon in House 8

Moon represents your emotions, your instincts and what makes you feel safe. House 8 is the house of what you share and what comes from outside: inheritances, other people's resources, debts, and the major upheavals and losses. It's a deep and demanding place, of fears and of transformation.

In the eighth house — of death, of fear, and of the goods that come from others —, the Moon expresses itself at half strength (succedent) and in an averse and ill-omened house, where its sensibility turns toward finitude and fear. It inclines toward a life attentive to the body’s own frailties and toward fears that come and go, and toward unstable gains through others’ goods — inheritances, dowries, the partner’s resources, or the public’s money; tradition links it to a manner of death tied to the fluids or to lingering causes (read always with caution, and never the term). Well disposed, it gives fluctuating but real profit through others’ goods and a serene relation to finitude; afflicted, it brings losses, debts, and fears that gnaw at the spirit.
