Moon in House 12
Moon represents your emotions, your instincts and what makes you feel safe. House 12 is the house of what stays hidden: retreat, what goes on behind the scenes, secret fears and what holds you back within. It's a difficult place, but also one of silence and of the inner life.
The twelfth house — of hidden enemies, confinement, grave illness, and sorrows — is cadent and averse, and the Moon, sensitive and changeful, feels here the weight of what is concealed. It inclines toward griefs and unease lived in silence, toward secret enemies among women or common folk, and toward spells of retreat, seclusion, or withdrawal; being lady of the body and the fluids, it may bring hidden ills or ills that come and go. In return, it gives a great compassion for those who suffer and a knack for care behind the scenes — hospitals, asylums, places of refuge. Well disposed, it gives a tenderness that consoles in adversity and peace in seclusion; afflicted, it worsens hidden sorrows, fears, and ills that drag on far from sight.
